Dulaan-a-Thaan, Hour Eleven

(Monday Morning Kwikkie Update: I'll be leaving TMK's six Dulaan-a-Thaan entries up until Wednesday. (You may need to click on "June" in the left-hand column to see them all, blogs working the way they do.) For me, for now, suffice it to say I could still use some more sleep. Yaaaawn! See you all then!)

We are out of here! It's 5am, the birds are singing, the sky is starting to lighten up and the five six of us (Frankie counts!) that are left decided we could fudge the last hour. We're extremely proud of ourselves for doing 11 hours! Time to go to bed.

We collected 100 items for Dulaan!

Thank you everyone who came to the Dulaan-a-Thaan and to everyone who has supported Dulaan this year!

And a huge thanks to Village Yarn & Tea for hosting this crazy event and Kim Myhre for the idea!

You all rock!

Shoot, I woulda stayed. I get all jealous about all these dulaan parties. Here, I got nothin' except the 2 year old nipple twisting party about 4 times a night. Yours always sound like much more fun.

well, one must commend your honesty. i knitted til 10 last night, thinking of you all...then went to bed. i woulda been sad, but fell asleep too quickly. up at 630, thinking, they're sure to be done, but I'm not. SOOOOO bummed I couldn't make it; seems our karma's like same poles of magnets.
ANYWAY!!! Thanks so much, TMK, for the documentary on it. Feel like I missed less

Fabulous job, TMK! Although I have no delusions about my ability to stay up late, I am an early riser and I loved the commentary.

p.s. I'm glad Frankie got to come.

Looks like you guys had a great time! Will you be posting a recipe for the chocolate Tofu pie?

I learned in college that anything is funny at 3:45am. And also that things are funnier when you're on the floor. :)

Looks like it was a fun night! Thanks for the running commentary, TMK!

Dang, that looks like a good time! It's too bad I'm on the other end of the country--as a college student, I consider myself both uniquely suited for and well trained in the art of staying up all night.

Everything looks amazing! Do you guys have a total count?

Woo-Hoo for the intrepid all night Dulaan-a-thaaners!!!! I would have loved to have joined you... but I am both on the other side of the country and not able to stay up that late (I'm not in college any more).
I am however able to knit and I have finished my five promised items! I haven't mailed yet as I want to get a couple more quick things done and included. A couple of adult sized hats maybe since they need more adult items...

This was such a blast! 10,000 thanks to Kim and Ryan and the Support Crew for a wonderful party! I loved meeting new friends and getting to know others better. Jessica's stories at 3 a.m. were the highlight of my night...I laughed until I cried.

I hope recovery time is quick for one and all!

Things are so way funnier when you're on the floor. You all rock the house, and I can't believe you managed to keep it up for that long. Your craziness is exactly the kind of craziness I love.

I wish I lived closer, dude.

THANK YOU so much for hosting! It was super fun and after I got home (at 1:30, what a loser!) I lay awake awhile, just marveling at the wonder of knitters(the good kind), and very grateful for the whole Dulaan chain from here to Flagstaff to Ulan Bataar and beyond, thanks to your hosting, thoughtfulness, ingenuity and downright excellence. Special thanks to Kim, for the fabulous idea and vouching for our collective characters enough to open the store all night long. To TMK, for bringing the damn coffee, and to the whole gang!

I loved the updates. I could feel like I was sorta there. Ok not really there at all but I got to experience it after the fact!

Miss seeing you guys!

Looks like you had fun! I should've come!

Hey there,

I'm soooo inspired by your Dulaan-a-thon blogging, I wanna organize one here in the Boston area (quick, in the next week or so)! I'll knit so much faster with some friends at 3am...

Can you give me a few pointers on the best ways to get it going??

Thanks lots~
