Time ran out...

I finished the main knitting on the vest last night, and completed the shoulder seams with a 3-needle bindoff. I accidentally left my camera on yesterday, so its batteries are dead and so I have no pictures. Curiously, my watch battery is also dead, so I have no time. But that's pretty much okay, because my spirit is dead and so I have no enthusiasm for whatever I would be able to do with a working camera and time.

I only have one thing to say about the vest. It's beautiful and in order to look good on me I will have to block it well, lose those little rolls of fat that ripple down my torso like bangle bracelets, and/or wear a longline girdle and corset.
Actually, blocking it is probably all that is necessary. I'm becoming fond of my little rolls, and giving them names, congratulating them when they give birth to new ones. Not.

What size did you make for the vest? It's resized by changing needles, but I want to make the size that they yarn is happiest with, which probably isn't small because I'm not sure that yarn would be happy on size 4 needles.

Caroline, I made the medium. I think you would like the medium; on me it is really going to be a close fit. But if you want to do the small I think the yarn would look and knit fine at a tighter gauge. I think a looser gauge would be too loose. imosvho, etc.

Guess this means I'll have to swatch... my favorite thing!
I think you will be fine with the vest, I always wear them unbuttoned as I think they are more flattering that way (allows the eye to assume a waistline rather than actually see one ;->).

Oh yeah.... I *can* do that, can't I? I agree, that is more flattering. Thanks :-)

It's a lovely vest, and I bet the color is very wonderful on you. Cravenella P. would be *so* pleased with the clocks! Your spirit seems very lively, viewed from a blog-distance. I hope you have a wonderful day in store.

Hi Lisa! Thank you, I have heard from Cravenella, and she points out that those clocks will never need batteries. I did have a wonderful day in the store... oops, did I say that? Yes, I made a wee side trip to one of my lys's to say hello to my friend Patti (and resisted buying anything at all!)
