Hide from the Fantum

I hope that tomorrow I will be able to do the final finishing for the clock vest. Here it is, pinned out within an inch of its life with certain pins sent to me for special voodoo ceremonies (said ceremonies definitely lacking in efficacy due to non-recognizable representations of intended victims sadly rendered in wet sugar).

It's difficult to tell from this picture, but the neckline is square. I like square necklines and boat necklines the best, as I have broad shoulders and a skinny neck.

And the back... can you tell that I fudged? I can't!

Ah! I see Madame Glitchbane over there answering her mail for the Daily Raven. I'll let you have a peek after a while...

Melvin Teaprattle has been very frustrated with Madame lately, as she has a really good excuse not to be exercising. He thinks this lack of exercise has made Madame a bit cranky and sulky lately, and is glad to see that the blueberries are beginning to ripen. He knows that Madame cannot resist the lure of fresh blueberries, and there is a blueberry farm not far from Happy Holler.

Madame, in the meantime, is looking forward to her soiree on Sunday and hoping that the sunshine continues so that the Verandah can be incorporated along with the Parlor to accommodate guests and their spinning wheels and other various accoutrements. And Tippie Jane Hundhusen is very excited, because she is always welcomed with open arms at the soirees, and is quite in her element. Ermadine Swett hates soirees because they are so positive and laughter-filled, so she lurks in the background.

The Fantum Finisher (who does not have a blog) is expected to appear, and it is well known that all who have unfinished knitting must hide it lest she rip it from their hands and finish it nicely. If this happens, it gives the Fantum Finisher more Points, and takes away points from the Unfinisher. In Fiber Heaven the Points Do Matter. The Fantum Finisher knows this, and is incredibly good at getting a whole lot of points. There are some who say that there is a Special Place for those who do not finish their own items, where knitters wearing beautifully finished knitwear point their long, needle-bearing fingers at them and cry "Unfinisher! Unfinisher!" as they, wearing their miserable little clock vests with yarn still streaming from its curling edges and no bands sporting no buttons, cringe with the shame of it all.
