Dyer Consequences

The Kris Abshire silk warp/weft painting class was a blast. We painted two warps and two wefts using Lanaset/Sabraset dyes "with gay abandon". Each participant made up their own colors and used their own ideas to paint, and absolutely nothing was not beautiful. Here are pictures of my accomplishments:

The first warp and weft:

The second warp:

The second weft??

Yup. I don't have a clue how it'll look, but that was the plan. But you know how my plans are...

This little trio is three 200-yard skeins of 50/2 silk I call the Sherbet Set. I love these tiny things!

And to the last one I added a few small blueberries.

Hopefully I'll be able to weave at least one scarf this weekend. I see lots of great handpainting fun in my future!

I'm speechless--what glowing, inspirational, touchable hanks of yarn! Go, girl, go!

Metaphysics is the finding of bad reasons for what we believe upon instinct, but to find these reasons is no less an instinct.
