The men in my life -- both have curly hair. They await the presentation of the Long Leaf yarns... but let's begin at the beginning.
Why did I start a blog? I never have time to read other people's blogs, why would I need one of my own? It's all because of my birthday and a Rowan Long-Leaf coat auction on eBay a few weeks ago. Junieann spent years of her life collecting all of the original Rowan yarns for Kaffe Fassett's Long Leaf Coat. Then she decided she would never knit it, and put it up for auction. I put a small bug in Hubby's ear that the LL coat would be a fabulous birthday present and the rest, as they say, is history. Being as I love to start projects but am far less likely to finish them, and being that I promised Junieann I would finish LL in her lifetime, I decided to blog the experience to keep me motivated.
In a parallel life, I like to write, mostly silly things. I started a story about the little town of Farinough that many people have asked me to continue. And so, as time and inclination permits, I will repost the first parts of the story and continue in various blog entries.
I go now to prepare my camera and take the beginning shots of the as-yet unopened box of Long Leaf yarns that I received yesterday!!!
