Halfway to the Border's End

The center scallop of the mourning shawl border has two points, and I have finished the first point, so the halfway point has been attained.

Last night a bunch of tanks rolled into downtown Baghdad and took a palace or two, and this morning the Minister of (dis)Information for Iraq is still claiming Americans aren't anywhere near Baghdad. Amazing. Iraq seems to employ kindergarten tactics. If the US announces that it has done something, Irag announces the same thing. Back in kindergarten, if one kid said to another "you're ugly!", the other kid would say back "uh-uh, you're ugly!" and it would go on until somebody cried and went home. In this war, the US says "Iraqi soldiers are surrendering to us" and Iraq will then say "American soldiers are surrendering to us." The US says "we are in control of the airport" and Iraq says "uh-uh, we're in control of the airport!" It gets funnier and funnier, even though the war itself is far from funny.
