Pink Stuff

For some reason I could not "want" to knit yesterday. I think maybe it's because I am not happy with the Koigu in the Landscape Shawl. On reading the comments this morning, and finding agreement there, I'm going to be frogging it and using something more solid-- perhaps with beads. I feel really good about that decision. Of course, if anybody wants to take it off my hands and finish it for themselves, let me know and I won't frog it.

I did knit a little bit on the border of the Sheelagh shawl, but it didn't capture my interest for very long. I put it down as we watched Million Dollar Baby, which went very differently than what I had imagined and required attention.

The pink cashmere winding is still not finished even though it seems like I have wound forever.

HI Sheila, I'm intrigued with your landscape shawl and hate the thought of you ripping it out. I have been looking for a unique shawl idea, so I might be interested in finishing it if you want to discuss it. Thanks for sharing your trip with all of us - I have enjoyed it so much and hope to get to Ireland myself one day.

What is that beautiful piece of lace? I read and re read the post and cannot see a reference to it. It's so delicate, wonder if I'll ever be able to even contemplate knitting something like that.

Cinday, thanks for the interest... I have one person in line before you, so I'll keep you posted privately.

Noonie, the pink lace is the border of the Sheelagh Shawl from Gladys Amedro's _Shetland Lace_ (sadly out of print). It is a beautiful shawl and may take me a lifetime to complete.

Oooh. I am not a pink girl myself, but that lace is looking pretty stylish!
