Been Knittin'

I've completed all but the darning in of ends and sewing up seams in a little baby surprise jacket. The funny thing, to me, was that I looked through all my adorable baby knitting patterns and then opted for the straightforward garter-stitch staple-- all in one piece, straightforward and fast. I'll show a picture here when it's all complete. I need to find adorable buttons, you know.

Yesterday my recruiter called me up to tell me that the company I had interviewed in person with had changed their mind. I was their best candidate and they decided to accommodate my requests. So, as of February 1, I will once again be a working woman. I was mostly relieved because I had three interviews scheduled for next week, and others in the works. I would much rather work than interview.

I'm very glad that Zach is here and that Sherlock has decided to be his buddy, because Sherlock has never been left alone all day long for more than a day every now and then. I just hope he doesn't start ignoring me again, nobody feels worse than when a puppy turns its back on them.

Congratulations! I'm so pleased that things worked out. Isn't it great when that happens seemingly from out of the blue?

Sherlock will adjust, and so will you (that separation thing goes both ways, doesn't it?)

Congratulations! I can feel your relief at not having to do more job interviews.

You just gotta love a short & sweet job hunt.

Congratulations! When I worked, I would comment that I had lots more money to spend on my crafts, but not enough time to actually do them; and when I was not working, I had not as much money to spend, but lots of time for having fun! It is a fine balance we tread!

Outstanding! Big congrats on the new job!

Great news! No more interviews! :)

re: Sherlock - just sit him down and have a wee chat - tell him exactly what's going to happen. You'd be surprised how much they understand... and be sure to give him extra lovin', especially after the 1st. He'll be fine, but there will be some adjusting on his part. Yay for Zach - I'm glad he's not afraid to be seen with a little poodle.

Speaking of poodles, Ms. B had so much hair that I put her into a Historically Correct Continental last night. I heart those show-dog clips. Too bad my digicam is completely verklempt, or I'd post pics...

Congratulations . . . you're so lucky to have a short and sweet job hunt. Would that I were so lucky . . . going into 3 months now with just one interview so far (which was clearly a job for a database administrator which I am not, and I'd passed on this when I read the ad, but recruiter insisted that I was so perfect for the job).

That's great news, Sheila. I hope you enjoy the job. It sounded like the folks there would be sympatico.

And I can't believe little Sherlock would be that fickle when it comes to his Mommy!

Well boo hoo hoo. I'm afraid that I can't say "congratulations" because we (the QB's) will miss you very much. You DID tell them that you need a few hours on Tuesday's to come to quilting, didn't you?!?!?

A belated congratulations, Sheila! Say, you gonna email me on the sly to let me know where you'll be working?
