Was it something I said?

(No posting Monday, Dear Readers.)
Well, if it was your fault, I'm grateful. Thursday was going to be a long and hard day at work - but instead it was a snow day with knitting and napping. I've got no complaints (well, except that the zipper on my winter coat chose this week to finally bite the dust...)
Oops.
We need that out here in Toronto. The kids have nowhere to go sliding or anything!
I laughed when I saw your first post, mom and I and the kids are going away and they are calling for a HUGE snowstorm here in IL. I said, Hey, they're only right 1/2 the time anyway, we're goin'....
The snow looks loverly.
Posted by: Angie on January 12, 2007 01:59 PMBrrr. I bet you know where you can find some wool, though.
Posted by: Carrie on January 12, 2007 03:51 PMIt looks beautiful! Uh oh, what does short little Frankie do? (Don't tell her I called her short)
We lost all of our snow and now we are just freakin' cold! It is supposed to get down to 8 tonight. 8! We are missing a digit. What is the deal with that?
The greyhounds and I, will be snug as bugs in a rug inside all weekend (while the greyhounds are tall and can see over the snow, again, don't tell Frankie I said that, they are near bare nekkid).
Posted by: Laurie on January 12, 2007 04:23 PMLaurie: Frankie is actually not a corgi, but a snowbunny. She loves scooting around in the snow on her back all over the yard. So it doesn't take long for her favorites spots to be flattened down with "corgi angels." (The only time she had a problem is when it snowed over a foot. I couldn't figure out why she wouldn't do her bizness. The, duh! She couldn't squat because the snow was higher than her butt! I cleared the snow from an area of the grass for her and was immediately rewarded with a grateful corgi.)
Posted by: The Mysterious K on January 12, 2007 05:11 PM'corgi angels' love it. Beautiful photo. er, did you make it back to the store? you know, after eating everything the other day, :)
Posted by: Marianne on January 13, 2007 04:46 AMOh, that's OK. I'll stand.
Posted by: marylee on January 13, 2007 04:53 AMLucky Frankie! Our corgis are still waiting for the first snow. Isn't it amazing how much they love it? Ours do the 'corgi angels' everywhere as well as lots of snuffling, burying their face completely(we usually get a few snows under a foot), then having to sneeze vigorously.(to dislodge all the snow up their noses?) My kids have always assumed the numerous snow angels were actually snow baths. Notice the much cleaner and softer fur that results. Maybe its like a bath in rainwater without the terrible getting all wet many dogs don't enjoy?
We have a slight hill and they love wiggling down it on their backs. My sister had a corgi years ago that liked nothing better than going to the local little kids hill, jumping on a sled and whooshing down. Any children there would laugh themselves silly. Her corgi never 'learned' how to pull the sled back up the hill which goes to show how smart he was. He probably figured his human needed the exercise!
well, there is snow today. and no school to boot. so what am i doing at work? hope to see you at madrona next week.
Posted by: marti on January 16, 2007 08:23 AMYep, people, Local Knitter Marti is right. It's snowing uh-gain. Who knew the drivel I write in my blog could have such far-reaching consequences?
We certainly plan on being at Madrona, Marti! Hope to see you there!
