Highlights during hour two:
LindaK has no pants on. Did you ever wonder what a knitter wears under her nightshirt? We don't know, but if she bends over we may all know soon.

Some of the ultimately 22 people who are crazy enough to join us:

Food and donations keep pouring in:

A door prize was awarded to Leslie. She won a needle felting kit.

Proof that (a) Ryan really is wearing her pink satin jammies...

and (b) she's not alone.

Guess who?

Ryan made a very moving and funny speech about Dulaan and her involvement (I'd never seen her in "public speaker" mode before. Very cool.)
Everyone is watching a documentary about FIRE and Mongolia at the moment. I sense kleenex in the near future.
People are still pretty chatty and awake. We'll see how everyone's doing around 11:30pm or so. ;-)
Janine wants everyone to know that she bought new PJs just for this event. We live very exciting lives.
Over and out.
Posted by Ryan at June 2, 2007 09:44 PMI can't stay up until six am, I have to take the kid to a violin recital so that she can get inspired, become a famous musician and support me in my old age (or perhaps live in my basement until she's 58) but I'm going to continue the Northern Chapter of the Dulaan A Thaan all by myself for a couple of hours at least.
I promise at least one more hat. Maybe two.
Man, I wish I was there with you folks. And TMK, I have told Ryan that you must never refer to my friend Frankie as "the dawg" again. You're pretty tough but I think if Frankie and I teamed up we could take you. *g*
Posted by: Rabbitch on June 2, 2007 11:52 PMHi everybody! I had a great time tonight -- and wish I could have stayed for the duration... but duty calls and I must be productive tomorrow (and I couldn't have been, if I stayed until 6am), so I am off to bed.
Thanks for a great evening. I will finish my 16th hat tomorrow and ship it off to F.I.R.E. sometime next week.
Ryan -- thanks so much for all you have done for Dulann. Yes, everyone contributes-- but we couldn't do it without you.
I am already looking forward to Dulann 2008!

Very motivating. I wish I could have been there. I'm busy knitting over here. I can see that I should knit something other than hats. I have quite a few already. I love the Magic 28 Socks, so I've been making those. I have a few baby/children's sweaters. This is such a wonderful thing you're doing. God bless! Thanks for organizing it.
