When Worlds Collide

Stephanie.

And Tina Newton of Blue Moon Fiber Arts (you can't see her, but trust me, she's there)

And The Sock.

On TMK’s couch.

With Frankie.

It’s more than my brain can handle.

Cue the spinning-vortex image from “Vertigo.”

Ooooo, color me jealous!

Urk! I am so jealous I just inhaled a Dove Dark Chocolate square. TMK, can I have the end of your couch?

Look at how Frankie is checking her out. "You don't earn any special status with me lady unless you scritch the ears properly."

Damn! I'm only a tad envious!

Dude, I have been in that living room and skritched that dog. I have also been hugged by Stephanie. The thought, however, of all of it at once is quite overwhelming.

I'm so glad you offered her a port in the storm.

Steph's writing of spending time with the lot of you was glowing, so glad for the good times and being there for her, she seriously needed that time.
Dude, those are NICE pants she has on :^D

Jealous doesn't come CLOSE to describing what I'm feeling!!!

OK. I am now consumed with jealousy, but so glad she was able to spend a quiet evening at your place. She gave you good reviews, too!

You totally *rock*! Sounds like a lovely evening and the perfect antidote to Stephanie's travel stress. You know you can never wash your couch again, right? :-)

Nice couch.

Posted by: KarenJoSeattle on April 26, 2008 06:50 PM

Ooooh, Ryan! If it couldn't be ME, I'm tickled it could be YOU! That's a wonderful picture of "a few of my favorite things", i.e., YH, knitting, mighty-fine socks, a VERY nice couch (I'm particularly sensitive to those just now) and a precious Corgi, who stand in my mind as just about the epitome of wonderful dogdom. I'm a fan of Tasha Tudor and read "Corgiville Fair" at almost any opportunity! I LOVE knowing that our YH, whose schedule would bring most of us to our knees in five minutes, has the opportunity to enjoy moments like that. I DO know that they are supremely restorative, and that's HOW she manages that schedule.

How fun! Although I don't think I could possibly have knit in such august company -- I would have just sat there giggling quietly to myself.

Love the picture of Frankie, which simply clinches my sense that our new puppy, advertised as a Belgian shepherd mix, is mixed with Corgie (Belgians do NOT have those legs!).

Jocelyn: When I saw the picture of your new puppy I thought I actually saw some corgi in the ears! ;-) Very cute dog!

end of the couch hell! i'd take the floor, under the coffee table, behind the refrigerator, just to bein the presence of such greatness!

Ryan, I missed you on Saturday!! TMK & Mom came to the Cashmere yarn store when I was filling in! We talked about yarn and the craziness of Stephanie and Tina being at her house and how much I want to meet Frankie since I had Corki & Hannah the (extremely disobedient) Corgis of my childhood. Next time you come she will have to make a visit to the shop with you! And of course she is welcome in :)

Oh, wow!! I'm so envious! Maybe someday I'll get to see the Harlot, too; although I do have a signed copy of her first book, signed at the Maryland festival. Maybe someday I'll get to Seattle, too. (Wish, wish)
