Oy.

Yesterday—stepped on a rake and hit myself in the face with the handle. Seriously; who really does that?

So, you wanted some comedy gold?

Posted by: Seanna Lea on July 9, 2009 02:18 PM

So, did you take any pictures?

It's good of you to suffer for the sake of your audience. Can I suggest a stumble-step into a bucket of paint?

Slip on any banana peels lately?

Posted by: Lisa on July 9, 2009 03:25 PM

Oh ouch! I am so sorry! I haven't done this particular trick, but, trust me, there's plenty of embarrassing missteps in my past. (Ask me about bowling for babushki some time.)

Ouch!! So did Benny get his own back for the fridge episode and laugh his paws off?

Posted by: caro on July 9, 2009 04:34 PM

It seems that you've had a fractional Sideshow Bob moment, oof!

Posted by: Faith on July 9, 2009 04:58 PM

I'm not laughing at you...wait, yes I am. But I have done similar things with garden tools that I am smart enough not to blog about!

I do love that MaryB.

Wow. Sympathetic group you've got here, eh?

(I've come close to doing that myself. And if you want, I'll tell you how I got one hell of a burn using the Dremel tool last weekend.)

Doh! Any black eyes?

We shall give you a ring when we get out of here and start heading back towards the Emerald City tomorrow.

I've done that. Gave myself a mild concussion. NOT fun, especially in the summer heat.

My skull aches in sympathy.

Cartoons. Cartoons do that. I'm so impressed Ryan! Let me know when you leave a Ryan-shaped hole in a wall you run through.

My husband, except I think it was actually a shovel.

Posted by: Ginger on July 12, 2009 01:00 PM

Um... Do you have some cousins named Curly and Moe? :)

Actually, that sounds owie. I hope you're feeling better!

(I just caught up with your blog, reading the June & July entries, and I can't even count the number of times you made me laugh out loud. Thank you!!!)

I'm sorry, but I couldn't keep from laughing -- several times! I've seen it in the cartoons, and I've heard of people actually doing it, but didn't think it happened to real people! Say, was there a video? Can you do it again, but film it (digitally) for us? I'm sorry for laughing... still.

Posted by: Tallguy on July 13, 2009 10:27 PM

If there WAS a video of this, it just might make it to the finals on the Funniest Video show ...

Just sayin ...
