Bair Isle Project - a fair isle project for ASOF/KBTH to help people get over their fear of fair isle technique and steeks. The garment was designed by Catherine Kehr in three styles, the charts were designed by Sheila. Sheila donated all materials and postage and kits were sent to over 120 recipients internationally.
Brad - Sheila's Dear Husband. Sheila and Brad met in July of 1999 and married in July of 2000. Brad is a very good artist (oils and acrylics) and has his MBA in tax law along with his CPA. He loves tennis and bridge.

Cruise - Sheila and Brad took a 2-week cruise to Ireland and Iceland in July of 2001

2. A cotton/silk blend yarn by Adrienne Vittadini, knits to about 13-14 stitches over 4 inches on a size 9 needle.

FiberTraditions - a Yahoo group moderated by Sam Robbins and Lori Christian, centered around traditional knitting and spinning. See link on blog to join.
Fleeceter - a holiday which commemorates the end of Lint, celebrated normally by the purchase of fleece or yarn as a symbolic gesture of satiation after deprivation.
Flying Geese Gansey - a handknitting design for a pullover in the gansey style, designed by Alice Starmore and found in her book Stillwater. It calls for authentic 5-ply gansey yarn like Scottish Fleet and is knit on 3.0 mm needles, quite firmly.

Gentle Beast - Brad's green Escalade
Ginger - Feline member of the family, large and orange with faint stripes. Rescued at age one after she gave birth to a litter of kittens, she has tripled in size. Likes to kiss and rub foreheads.
Grazzi - Canine member of the family, a European German Shepherd that Sheila gave to Brad as a puppy for Christmas of 2000, the first year they were married. Grazzi is a sweet-tempered shepherdess and longs for the day she can have her very own herd to manage. Brad named her after a Brazilian girl he had a crush on, named Graziani.

Harvey - Canine member of the family, a cream Standard Poodle named for the Pookah Harvey from the movie starring Jimmie Stewart. Harvey suffers under the delusion that he is a person.
Henry VIII (aka Hank8) - the handknitting design from the book Tudor Roses, by Alice Starmore. A fair-isle design which calls for (now discontinued) Alice Starmore Scottish Campion, a 2-ply jumperweight Shetland yarn.
I
Irish PainKiller (IPK) - a delicious and effective alcoholic drink made by mixing equal quantities of Jamieson's Irish Whiskey and Bailey's Irish Creme. Do not plan to drive after drinking an IPK!

Jojo - Feline member of the family, small and black. Thinks he is a dog; follows Sheila everywhere.

KBTH (Knitting Beyond The Hebrides) - a discussion group started by Sheila in February of 2002 when the Alice Starmore support group on Yahoo suddenly became moderated. The group was initially called ASOF (Alice Starmore Open Forum). Sheila was listmom of KBTH until February 12, 2003.

La Junieanne (LaJ) - Sheila's name for the Rowan Long Leaf Coat, which Brad gave her for her birthday. It is named after the fantastic lady who auctioned it off on EBay.
Lint - a designated period of time when Madame vows to give up a particular pleasure, such as purchases of yarn and fiber, in order to cleanse her soul and allow her pocketbook to recover. Lint ends with the celebration of the Fleeceter holiday.

Madam Glitchbane's Knitting Parlor and Magical Movie Theater - Sheila's basement
Mariners - Seattle Mariners, Major League Baseball team and Sheila's favorite.
Mini Driver - The navigation system in Sheila's car.
Mourning Shawl - A black lace cobweb shawl from Gladys Amedro's book Shetland Lace. Sheila named it the mourning shawl because with its knitting she is mourning the second Gulf War and all those for whom she did not mourn properly when they were lost.

Sherah - only daughter and eldest child of Sheila
Sherlock - Canine member of the family, born 2/12/2003, the same day that Sheila resigned from listmomship of ASOF/KBTH. Jumps like a flea, is extra cuddly and is a cafe au lait toy poodle.
Soiree - a fibery get-together, these are scheduled randomly throughout the year and are held in Madame Glitchbane's Knitting Parlor, usually on Sundays. Anyone may request a soiree be thrown in their honor or just because they feel like having one.
Spatterdash - another blog that Sheila contributes to, it has multiple authors including Mary and Caroline.
